About the event
Oakmont Village Association is a pioneer in planning a 100% renewable and sustainable community microgrid. A community microgrid produces solar electrical energy where it is consumed. A community microgrid is resilient because it is powered by stored solar energy when the centralized utility grid is shutdown.
Creating and storing energy from Oakmont rooftop and ground mounted solar panels reduces Oakmont’s reliance on buying energy from the centralized, investor-owned utility power companies who charge continually rising energy and delivery fees.
The Oakmont Community Microgrid will power your future energy needs, lower your energy bills, pay for its equipment and operation and help reduce carbon emissions for your children and grandchildren.
The Oakmont Community Microgrid will be Resilient, Reliable, Renewable, Sustainable, Pay for Itself and make the world a better place for humans now and in the future.
